Most Valuable Chapter Tutor Program

Learn To Be is excited to announce our newest tutor recognition program - The Most Valuable Chapter Tutor program! Each quarter, Chapter Leaders, faculty advisors (if applicable) or members of Chapter Executive Boards (if applicable) can nominate a tutor they believe has made a positive impact on their chapter in the previous quarter. 


Examples include but are not limited to; the tutor with the most tutoring hours that period, a tutor who planned and ran a fundraiser, a tutor who went above and beyond to help other tutors with lesson planning or problem solving, or a tutor who gave a presentation to the chapter with helpful tips and tricks. 

How does the program work?

  1. Each quarter LTB staff will open the nomination period and remind chapters to nominate a tutor they feel deserves recognition by a set deadline. The nomination should include a short blurb about the tutor’s accomplishments and a picture of the tutor via a Google Form.
  2. After the closing of the nomination period, LTB staff will review nominations and select the top three nominees for MVCT. 
  3. All nominees will be highlighted on Slack and receive a certificate. 
  4. The top three nominations will be highlighted on LTB’s social media and receive LTB swag. 

What are the rules for this program?

  1. Tutors must be in good standing with LTB to be eligible. 
  2. Individuals can be nominated more than once
  3. Individuals cannot be selected as a Top 3 Nominee more than once an academic year

When does this program run?

  • Period 1: Sept 1st to Nov 30th
  • Period 2: Dec 1st to Feb 28th
  • Period 3: Mar 1st to May 31st
  • Summer Period 4: June 1st to August 31st
