Can I request a letter of recommendation or reference for my tutoring hours?
We are happy to provide generic letters of recommendation or reference for tutors who have been tutoring with us consistently for at least 20 hours.
These letters and/or forms are typically more detailed and may be used for scholarships, college applications, or other opportunities that require a deeper overview of your work and impact as a tutor.
If you meet this requirement, please complete this form to help us prepare your letter. Please request your letter at least 7 days in advance of your deadline to allow time for review and drafting.
If your school or program has a separate portal or official form, you may also send it directly to our Community Support Lead, Jossen Jesalva, at: jossen.jesalva@learntobe.org.
If you have not yet reached 20 hours, we encourage you to continue tutoring and submit your request once you meet the requirement.
Note:
If you only need a simple letter of verification of hours, we are able to provide this once you have completed at least 4 hours of tutoring. This is a more basic confirmation of your service and does not include detailed evaluation or commentary.
