I had a tutoring session using an external platform (like Facetime). How do I log my hours?

Tutoring must take place in one of our recorded Learn To Be classrooms. We work with Google Meet, Zoom, Big Blue Button and Groupworld. *All session recordings are stored securely and NEVER released publicly without permission. 

If there is a last minute issue with our classrooms and you cannot get the technology to work, you are permitted to use an external classroom. This should be rare and only in emergency.

In the rare case that an external session needs to take place:

• Tutors should email hello@learntobe.org to notify LTB of the external session. Please include the date of the session, the student’s name, and the reason why the session did not take place in one of our classrooms. 
  • Tutors must log all external sessions within 1 month of the date they occurred. 
• LTB will then enable the “log an external session” button in the tutor account for the tutor to log the session. The button will be automatically removed after 1 week. 
• Once tutors log the session, LTB will confirm the external session with the student/family via an automated text. External hours will not be verified until they are confirmed by the student/family. 
  • Tutors are welcome to remind their student/family to confirm the session after it has been logged.
