How do I share my calendar of availability?

When you connect with a student, you can share a link to your calendar of availability with your student. This will allow them to select a date and time for a tutoring session. You're welcome to use the calendar to schedule your first session and establish that as a reoccurring schedule with your student or use the calendar with your student weekly. A few notes:

  • If you are unable to watch the video: You can reach the calendar by clicking on My Calendar in your Learn to Be Dashboard menu. Once there, click View/Edit Availability to update your availability schedule, and Share to send a message to your student with a link to your calendar. (These options are also available during the process of initially connecting with a student.)
  • You can use the calendar to set up a weekly availability schedule (such as: I'm normally available Wednesday and Friday afternoons from 3-8pm). It does not let you block out specific dates (such as: I'm not available this coming Wednesday).
  • Students will only see your calendar if you share a link with them.
  • Students will see your availability for the next 10 days or so (based on your weekly availability schedule) when they view your calendar, and then will be able to select any available dates and times to schedule one or more sessions. Scheduled sessions will appear in your Upcoming Sessions page, and you and your student should also receive a message from the LTB messaging system about the session.
  • If a session was scheduled at a time that doesn't work for you, send a message to your student, and then cancel the session from your Upcoming Sessions page.
